Wyke took a 17 strong side over to Drighlington to see if they could replicate thier win that they had over them only a matter of weeks ago.
There were a lot of new faces for the Wyke side as the team seems to grow week by week. But effective time management made each player have quality time on the pitch ad Drighlington are also in the lucky position of having a strong squad also.
Some strong running by Charlie McShera, Finley Abrahams and Alfie Barraclough made for some strong tackles needed for the Drig side. All of them seemed to end up with Alfie been clattered on the end of each one. This didnt stop him form keep tryiong to get through the Drig Line. Logan Metcalfe and Bailey Tailfor were ever present also ready to break through.
Aidan Cartwright managed to use his spped for the first try of the game as no one seems to be abel to catch him. This frustrated some of the Drig side wihich enabled another 2 tries to go past for the black and whites courtes of Alfie Barraclough and Finley Abrahams.
Lucas Range-Bennet and Harrison Cain came into their own in the 2nd half using thier power and thier speed to gain some nmuch needed extra yards, Mark Gummery with his constant running and brillinat drive and Andrew Parkin continued to impress with some immense tackling!
The highlight of this game though was the younger side of the squad who all stood out. Thomas Croft managed some strong tackling and some great offloads, Robbie Gaside is improving every week and Harrison Ward and Ryan Hartley got stuck in and look like they are going to be great memebers of our squad.
