Drighlington at home

Wyke entertained Drighlington at the park on a dry but cold morning. The teams were not just even in size but also even in ability so turned into a very entertaining game.

Wyke defence was stronger still from the previous week against King cross, and everyone managed to to rack up a good tackle count. New boy Aidan Cartwright even manage to get himself top tackler on his debut match.

The boys ran well and both Logan metcalfe and Alfie Barraclough made thier presence felt upfront, and another tireless performance from Mark Gummery helped gain yards.

Some strong performances all round but a special mention to Finley Abrahams who scored a hat trick and to Charlie McShera who scored 2. The last one being the match winner try on the last play of the game.

The boys are at home again next week to take on Birstall Victoria. Let's hope for another win. Yes Wyke!!!
