Emley Moor Away

Wyke made the journey over to Emley Moor this weekend where we were greeted by some nice whether and an even better match.

Both teams started well, but a couple of the Emley moor boys use thier quick feet to get through our defence in the first couple of minutes. But that just spurred on the wyke boys to produce some really good defensive lines.

Some good tackling by Bragan Cottom, Alfie Barraclough and Andrew Parkin helped this, Wyke were not letting the older boys get through as much.

Some strong performances by Deacon Magure, Harrison Cain and Mark Gummery made us some good runs forward. And the quickness of both Finley Abrahams and Connor Mguinness made them try scorers with one each. Connors been a full pitch run to score.

Consistent performance by Robbie Garside, Lucas Range-Bennet and Thomas Croft helped in getting the ball out to Alfie Barraclough who managed to score 2 tries this game.

Although the scoreline didnt reflect the hard work that the boys had put in to thier defensive effort. They were simply just a bit too big and used thier power to go over the line.
