Wyke entertained Meltham at home this weekend. Meltham brought a small but very well established team with them and this was evident from the start. They started off strong and Wyke were soon chasing the shoreline. This didn't dampen the boys spirits though and some strong running from Thomas Croft and Charlie McShera kept Wyke in the game.
Meltham had some strong and skilful runners and although they keptrunning at Wyke the boys never stopped, they didn't let thier heads drop and continued with some strong tackling with Andrew parking topping the tackle count again.
Wyke replied with tries from Mark gummery, Finley Abrahams and Charlie McShera, and in the second half some of the boys confidence returned and there was some good running from Harrison Cain and Bragan cottom.but all the boys deserve a mention for thier never say die attitude and team spirit.
