Wyke made the short journey to Queensbury to play the reverse fixture from last week. Shame we couldn't have arranged the weather to be the same! In truely horrendous conditions, where we saw all the seasons in one day. Wyke and Queensbury played well to produce another good game of junior rugby.
Wyke started in the attack, with some good go forward form their captain for the day Mark Gummery, who was held up just short of the line on the first set.
It was then time to defend and it took a great offload from Queensbury to score in the top corner. Wyke wernt as quick off the ball as they needed to be and this led to Queensbury been able to find a gap in the line and score another couple of tries.
This was soon rectified by our man of the match Finley Abrahams who managed to score 5 times in the same place throughout the match, other tries from Alfie Barraclough, Thomas croft and josh blowes made Wykes total 8. But Queensbury played the weather to their advantage and managed to edge Wyke out whilst they were battling the elements.
Always a good game when these 2 teams get together there is some real future talent on the 2 teams.
