Wyke under 8’s travelled to Elland, in Halifax to participate in the West Riding under 8’s annual tournament.
Wyke were drawn against 4 big sides in Meltham, West Bowling, Elland and Ovenden. Unfortunately they narrowly lost every game, but the lads can be proud of the great performance they showed.

There were some great individual performances from Dylan Frith, Jabriel Karolia Andrew Parkin and Riley Firth. Harry Owen scored a great hat trick of tries throughout the tournament, which earned him the man of the match award for the second week running.
Thomas Ockerby also scored a try, with the top tackler accolade being a closely run affair, fought out by Harry Young, Harvey Dimbleby, Joseph Fynn and Toby Schofield with the final decision and the award went to Joseph Fynn. The boys can be proud of their efforts and look forward to playing at home to St Josephs on Sunday with 10:30 kick off.
