This week the first team play on Friday night with a 19:15 kickoff. Wyke welcome Keighley Albion who are going well in the league and ran Wyke close in the pre-season game. Wyke welcome back Luke Robinson after a number of weeks and also in the squad is Oscar Woodhead, Both has serious cases of been UTT. Wyke also welcome back John Rayner And Ben Kelly from Holiday. On the absent list is Ash Hutchinson (ankle) Coby Kittsen (Holiday) and influential captain Jordan Payton (facial injury). Coach Ian Wormald said “we go against a team on Friday who have beaten us during my time in coaching and we will not take the game lightly. We go into the game with a very strong squad however the loss of our captain Jordan Payton does leave a hole, as he has been instrumental to our success these last few years. For me though, this allows others to step up and take control which I feel the right people will. After training tonight there will be a further announcement of who will captain and vice captain the team while Jordan is sidelined”.
