As you are probably all aware our captain Jordan Payton has suffered a significant facial injury which will put him out of action for a lengthy period. On top of this vice captain Calvin Barker has been offered an opportunity at Halifax which he can not refuse. This means that we need to appoint a captain and vice captain for the foreseeable future. Myself and Baz have decided that James Cullen will become the first team captain. James has shown dedication in both training and the matches and is a natural leader in the team already. We have also decided that Brad Clarkson will become vice captain. Brad’s knowledge and understanding of the game is one of the best in the team and he never takes a backward step in any element of the game. I hope you will join us in wishing these lads the best of luck and also wish Jordan a speedy recovery. We are also very proud of Calvin and we are confident he is capable of making the step up. The changes will take place immediately and the captains will have their first opportunity tomorrow (Friday night) at home to Keighley. Get down and watch the lads 19:15 kick off.
