The Jack Senior Bradford Cup Final will take place this Saturday as Wyke take on Clayton at Lidget Green - Kick Off 2PM

This Saturday Wyke travel to Clayton in the Jack Senior Bradford Cup Final as they look to win back to back Bradford Cup finals. The game will be played at Clayton's home ground at Lidget Green with the kick off 2pm.

Wyke players and supporters are welcome to come to Low Moor Club at 11:30 before going back to the club after the game for the Man Of The Match presentation and hopefully celebrations. Everyone is welcome to come at 11:30 and after the game. We hope to see everyone there at the club and final.

We would love to see as many junior players, parents at the game to cheer on the lads as they hope to make it back to back cup wins. If possible can all players from junior teams try wear their Wyke Polo Shirts.

Here is a message from the Wyke Open Age Coaching team:

Wyke Rugby
The open age first team go again this week to try retain the Bradford cup for the first time in over 50 years.
In the past two years the club has gone from strength to strength under what the committee, who have supported both me and the open age. This has certainly seen the open age break new ground in the successes we have achieved in the past two seasons. As I have always said success breeds success and it would be great to see as many of our junior players there as is possible, as I want to showcase the open age to them to give them the inspiration that I believe they need to keep the success flowing throughout the club. I think a lot of credit needs to go to the many coaches committee members and parents who have brought through at least 50% of the open age squad over the past 10-15 years, as without that effort and dedication we would not be reaping the rewards we are doing now.
Although we have an away game as a final, which is not down to Clayton but the committee who run the bradford cup, we go there in fine form and more than capable of causing an upset. I’m certainly conscious that Clayton have a quality team and are capable of beating any team on their day. They have been backed by various parties from the Bradford Bulls and recently won a competition with the pulse to regenerate the club house etc.
I’m personally looking forward to the build up this week and with the right mentality from the players, coaches and the wider club I know we can go there and give a good account of ourselves. I believe we have enough in house support to get us through the day and hopefully retain the cup. Come and join us from 11:30 in the Low Moor Club for the build up. After the game we will be making our way to the Low Moor Club again for some man of the matches and a few other things starting around 17:15, again everyone is welcome (win or lose, we will be on the booze).

Thanks for the support

Ian Wormald & Daniel Barraclough.
