Wyke ARLFC receive the
Bradford Bulls ‘Community Club of the Year’ Award

On Saturday evening at the Bradford Bulls Foundation Awards Night Wyke were nominated and dually awarded the Bradford Bulls 'Community Club of the Year'

Wyke Rugby Club who have been in existence since 1890 and have two Open Age teams operating in the Pennine League winter League and will in 2017 be entering a team in the Summer competition
The club will also be very proud to have six junior teams operating in the 2017 Yorkshire League. These teams will be at the newly formed Under 7's level complementing the established teams at Under 9's, Under 10's, Under 12's, Under 15's and Under 17's levels

Wyke also run a tiny tots section, Wyke 'Zigga Zigga’s' aimed at delivering fun orientated training sessions for children aged between 3 & 5. The idea of the 'Zigga Zigga’s' is that the children learn the skills of Rugby League in an exciting and fun way, in the hope that they want to continue to playing and move into the under 7's.

With the aid of the Bradford Bulls the club has continued to grow the junior section of the club, with the Bulls delivering training sessions at the local schools and then the children that have shown an interest, having the opportunity to move to Wyke ARLFC and continue their Rugby League education and play organised games in a family orientated club.

All the junior teams including the 'Zigga Zigga’s' have also had the opportunity to play Rugby games at Odsal Stadium, home of the Bradford Bulls.
These games are on an invitational basis and all the children are allowed to walk the perimeter of the pitch to the applause of the fans before the game on the Bullman parade. They then get to watch their heroes play on the Odsal turf, before getting the opportunity to show their Rugby skills in a game at half-time

Wyke Rugby Club are extremely proud of the clubs achievements, the club have had numerous successes over the years both with the open age and the juniors winning many league titles and cups. The club have also had numerous players move onto ply their trade at the professional level.
Most recently Cameron Scott has signed for the Bulls Under 19's Academy Squad, after impressing at various junior levels at Wyke.
