Billy awarded Bradford life membership

One of the longest-serving stalwarts of the Bradford Amateur Rugby League community have been awarded life membership of the association.

The recognition was announced during the Bradford ARL annual general meeting held at Clayton Rugby Club.

Billy Barraclough was presented with a memento to mark the occasion by president Norman Hudson as he celebrated many years' service to Wyke ARLFC.

Barraclough has the Wyke club in his DNA. A formidable prop in his playing days, he went on to become secretary and his drive and determination has seen the black and whites firmly established in the village.

The new dressing room accommodation and the thriving junior production line of well-coached players is a record of his many achievements.
